Why Visit Trolltunga
Trolltunga is one of Norway’s most dramatic outdoor destinations, a narrow rock ledge that projects high above Ringedalsvatnet in the Hardanger region. Visitors come here for a serious mountain hike, big alpine scenery, and the thrill of standing on one of Scandinavia’s most photographed viewpoints. The area around Odda and Ullensvang also adds depth beyond the famous ledge, with fjords, waterfalls, glacier terrain, cider culture, and historic industrial landscapes. The best time to visit is late June through September for the full hiking season, while winter and shoulder seasons suit experienced hikers with a guide and proper equipment.
