I thought I had no chance to see the aurora, and finally saw it on the last day, and it was a super active aurora explosion. It was really happy. In fact, I did n’t have enough experience, so I did n’t shoot well.

Ptarmigan mine is an abandoned gold mine site just outside of Yellowknife. The mine was operational from 1941- 1942, and 1987 - 1997. Explorers can find a 1.6km loop trail around the site.

Often in Canada, it reaches below -30C. We were in Yellowknife when the Arctic low-pressure system was rolling through most of Canada, so instead of staying indoors, we headed outside! When you take hot water and throw it into really cold air, it instantly turns into ice and snow. It’s science, folks!
