This perfectly preserved 1454 library remains exactly as it was built, with original reading benches and chained books still in place. The 343 manuscript codices include works by Hippocrates, Pliny, and Dante in their earliest forms. It's the only humanist library to survive intact with its building, furnishings, and collection all original.
